Welcome to Our Weekly Newsletter!

At Energy Costs Managed, we believe energy consultancy should never be one size fits all. We work closely with every client to develop a tailored energy procurement strategy, helping businesses manage risk, reduce utility costs and make informed purchasing decisions with confidence.

Planning Ahead for Your 2026 Energy Renewal

For businesses with energy contracts due to renew in 2026, now is a good time to start reviewing your options. While it may seem early, wholesale markets remain influenced by global events, weather patterns and supply pressures, meaning prices can change quickly. Planning ahead gives you greater flexibility and avoids having to make decisions under time pressure.

Rather than trying to predict the perfect time to buy, it's often more effective to have a clear purchasing strategy. Monitoring the market over a longer period allows businesses to take advantage of opportunities as they arise, rather than reacting to short-term price movements.

Every business has different energy requirements, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you're considering fixing your rates, exploring flexible purchasing options or simply reviewing your current consumption, understanding your objectives early can help secure a contract that suits your business.

Our team is already working with customers whose contracts expire in 2026, helping them understand market conditions and prepare for renewal well in advance. Taking action early can provide greater choice, reduce uncertainty and put your business in a stronger position when it's time to agree your next energy contract.

Have a great weekend!

Wholesale Energy Prices

This week, wholesale gas and electricity markets remained influenced by geopolitical uncertainty, warmer weather across Europe and continued demand for gas storage, with market volatility persisting throughout the week.

If your business has an upcoming energy contract renewal or you would like to understand how current market conditions could impact your energy costs, our team is available to provide guidance and support.

Our complimentary 15-minute contract review will assess your current pricing arrangements, identify any risk of rollover or deemed rates and help you plan your next procurement strategy with confidence.
